Hello Friends,
Man has the memorial fund been busy.  It is amazing to me to see how far we have come in a such a short period of time.  In just over 2 years we have been able to educate over 200 families on SIDS prevention. It is amazing to think how many babies lives Dominick has impacted. We are now serving the Redwood Co hospital, Renville Co Public Health and working with the PET program (pregnancy education for teens) in Kandiohi Co. We are hoping to spread further as we grow.
Last year we achieved non-profit status through the IRS so all donations are now tax deductible.  We continue to grow in leaps and bounds.
We have an exciting summer with the memorial race in Redwood on June 20th and three other fundraising races throughout the summer. Check our events page for details. We also have something big in the works for the end of the summer. More information to come on that later!
It still amazes me to see how far this has come and how many people on dear life can touch. I often have people ask me why I do it.  The other day our sermon at church made it all so clear. Our pastor was gone and Jan Ellingsworth filled in. During her sermon, she explained that most people are not afraid of dying. They are afraid of not living. They are afraid of being gone without make their mark on the world. Dominick never had a chance to make his mark. But by doing this, we all are giving him that chance.  I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my soul for helping me give him that chance.
With the most sincere thank-you,
Becky
